You first create an account in the HKUST Online Application System. On the application form, you can select up to two choices and the first choice will be considered as your highest priority. Please note that your program choices will be final once you submit your application to the University.

Step 3 - Evaluate your eligibility for international admissions

Step 4 - Submit an application online

Your application should include:

  • A completed online application form, including a personal statement
  • Copies of national ID card and/or travel document (must upload Hong Kong ID card copy and Hong Kong Visa/Entry Permit copy, if available)
  • Public examination result certificates
  • School reports from grade 10 onwards
  • Certificates and proofs for significant prizes and awards
  • Nomination of an academic referee
    (An email invitation will be sent to the academic referee you nominated in the online application form at the time you submit the application. If you are taking IB , GCE-AL/IAL/Cambridge Pre-U or Indian High School Examination, please also provide contacts of your IB Coordinator or Career Counselor such that an email invitation will be sent to them requesting for provision of predicted grade report.)
  • CV/Résumé (Optional)
