The BBA in Economics (ECON) program nurtures graduates who are skilled in economic reasoning and the use of data to make sound business decisions.
Compared with our BSc in Economics and Finance program, the ECON program offers more core courses in various business disciplines, which equip graduates with the multi-disciplinary perspective they need to analyze business problems and public policies, and recommend solutions. Students have the flexibility to choose from a wide variety of elective economics courses.
Our flexible curriculum design enables ECON students to pursue an additional major in another business area. Students may also pursue minors offered by other schools at HKUST. Their interdisciplinary insight and proficiency in economic analysis make ECON graduates competitive in a range of career paths across business fields.
Ranking:
#29 in Economics and Econometrics (#1 in Hong Kong)
