Annual Costs and Fees

HKUST tuition fees and on campus accommodation and housing costs for local and non-local students differ in many universities. Similarly, opportunities for accommodation, internship, scholarships, employment and financial assistance also differ based on a number of criteria.

Student Employment & Internship

Local: Full time local students can apply for different types of internships (paid or unpaid) and look for graduate job via our Career Centre

Non-local: Full time non-local students with valid student visas are eligible to take up summer jobs and participate in curriculum-related internships – that are endorsed by HKUST. In addition, during the semester, students are eligible to take up part-time jobs on campus for a maximum of 10 hours per week. After completion of their degree program, non-local international students may apply to stay and work in Hong Kong under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-Local Graduates.
