The flexibility of this major also allows students to take various elective courses offered by other academic departments, such as Business, Engineering, and Humanities and Social Science.

The program not only equips students with a broad base of general biological knowledge, but also offers comprehensive training in transferable skills and opportunities for independent learning, which are invaluable for all career paths.

“As a Biological Science student, I enjoy investigating in depth the cellular activities and mysteries of the organisms around us. Laboratory lessons also give us the chance to work as a team to practice what we have learned. For sure, there have been ups and downs during my last two years at university. Yet it has always been satisfying to see what I have achieved and overcome along the way. The Office of Academic Advising and Support plays an important role in my university life. As an intern, I was assigned various tasks that helped me to better understand my strengths and weaknesses. A staff evaluation encouraged me to try more new things and keep on improving my skill sets. Thanks to SCI/HOME for being so supportive!”
