The BEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering provides broad engineering training with an emphasis on the areas of water and waste-water engineering, solid and hazardous waste management, and air/noise pollution control. As environmental quality is a major public concern all over the world, exacerbated in Hong Kong and Asia by their particularly rapid economic development, more and more resources are required to protect and manage our environment. Thus, properly trained environmental engineers will be in increasing demand in the years to come.
