    What are the fees and charges for students studying at HKUST?
    Answer

    The tuition fees and the costs of University-provided accommodation differ for local and non-local students.

    The current tuition fee for local students is HK$42,100 per year except for those who are in the World Bachelor in Business program. Besides, the final year in Dual Degree in Technology and Management belongs to self-finance program. The tuition fee may be different in each academic year. The current tuition fee for non-local students is HK$140,000 (~USD18,000) per year except for those who are in the World Bachelor in Business program.

    For the University-provided accommodation, the cost per residential year is HK$11,490 – HK$20,290 for local students and HK$14,370 – HK$25,370(~USD1,840-USD3,250) for non-local students, excl. meals, air-conditioning and laundry charges.

    HKUST is committed in supporting outstanding local or non-local students who choose to pursue their higher education with us. Scholarships are awarded to top students from all backgrounds based on academic merit. For example, the university does offer scholarships to students with outstanding results in IB or who are Gold Medalists in the International or Asian Olympiad.
